We here at Fromgirltogirl, support the Egyptians' initiatives to reform politics so that freedoms of the people, by the people may be enhanced. We are so proud of the peace measures the protesters are using to improve their quality of life.

Here is a video from CNN on protesters cheering the army. No violence at hand at all. Most violence is coming from the police force:
As economic and social suffering and disarray increases in our present social order, I like to take out the time to entertain the thought of a possible New order of the Ages or New social order. A New order of the Ages or New social order can be a dramatic transition of global change in political ideology and balancing of power.
Society has come to a period where States can no longer be Islands to survive- Israel, China and the United States of America (just to name a few). Islands are collapsing the social order of our society.
Our present social order is not working based on the actions of greed, money and power within our global macro politics. Social common decency and a good quality of life for all have been overlooked. Money is valued more than human life, or any life for that matter. It is obvious that the state governance and its citizens have barriers that prevent their unification and defined identity. There is no longer much loyalty to the State or faith in the State. There is no order; there is no peace. A battle for resources and social prestige is what allows this problematic intersection of political and social conflict.
For example, in western society an individual desires to be the conductor of his or her own life orchestra. Western society traditionally allowed its citizens immeasurable ideal freedoms and opportunities of prosperity. It gave no need to blend state and religion. But now, here we are fighting wars with countries that are based on collective living and society revolving around no separation of church and state. For example in the Arab world, traditional Islamic society blends religious principles with economic and social factors. People are not certain if assimilating to western culture is better or getting back to the basics of Islamic society is in their best interest. But both society cultures have corruption and social tensions as a commonality. These governments are not accomplishing co-exist in a civil manner with their citizens to achieve stability and comfortable livelihoods. This has happened because respect for one another has literally dissipated. When respect dissipates, States and their citizens will not flourish. We have come to a point where we are tormented by our own cognitive dissonance.
Some of us are obsessed with our desire for power and fair opportunity ( consisting of political and economic liberty, equality and protection) once we are denied these privileges due to social stature. The system is no longer granting 'justice', therefore it needs reforming.
But, I do not approve of these cells of people revenging States by becoming religious and political extremists. Yes, I understand the only citizens being respected are the ones with economic wealth and power of influence. Yes, I understand the working class is tremendously impacted by the abuse of power by the State and the minority bourgeois. And yes, I feel trapped in this system of lifestyles and livelihoods. And sometimes, I do see the appeal of a socialist society, when I overview the devastation our present capitalist society has accomplished throughout the world. But since we know our present social order is failing, we can not live anymore in vast divisions of power.
Vengeance can not be more important than using intelligence to potentially free our society of an increasing life of poverty and social abuse. If we become obsessed with this objective of vengeance and distrust, we will not be able to adapt to the realities of this environment and correct errors in our failing social order.
To be more modern and prosperous than we are now, politics of the State must stop conducting its practices and ideas around the best interest of the state. It needs to act in the best interest of its people.
These governments are becoming too powerful. We have come to the point in our society where individuals have no genuine self-directive. The result has been wide-spread political and religious corruption of all walks of life. Cultural and social satisfaction can never come from corrupt political or religious principles. Historically, the contemporary intersection of the human spirit for human rights and the practice of authoritarian power have been inevitable. Individuals and States are known to choose either human spirit or authoritarianism to accomplish moral decision making. No one is immune to faulty judgment. We all seem to be in competition with each other to be better than others, rather than being better than our previous selves. We have learned this by observing the actions of the States. The States speak beautiful words, yet disguise ugly actions. When States are built on that principle, there can never be a universally prosperous society. The same principles we say our society lives and dies for- democracy and virtue, have been compromised. We do not respect or care for one another. A social system can not be valid, if words and scripture are only iterated but not truly enforced in actions of the State and its people. The only results will be instability and no unity. This has already happened. Our American culture principles promote self-directive and initiative, but the economic glass ceiling barriers disperses resources and wealth unfairly. And now our development as a nation and as a global society is slowly, but surely becoming stagnant. It is tragic and all social classes are impacted. To revive our society, strength will not come only from tangible existence and materials, but internal balance in us. We have two paths. One is of progress and the other is a path to moral demise. If we stay on the moral demise path, the vast social gaps of inequality and corrupt governance will expand. The turmoil in developing and developed State politics and the human spirit will continue until we can establish a compatible existence. New Order of the Ages
It is now time we aim for collaboration and collectivism to address world-wide distress for human rights and to create a sustainable environment for not only our present population but for our future generations. This should not be about transiting every government in the world into a democratic government. This New order of the Ages should be about increasing the welfare of all Nations, not just some. In the words of Winston Churchill, we should establish a world order where “The principles of justice and fair play...protect the weak against the strong," and real Human Rights have a home everywhere in the world.
The peace held in this new order will not be based on political laws or enforcement. It will not revolve around obligatory systems, but of our choice to practice peace and love.
The desire for peace and love will make us more inclined to not want to strive to get ahead or over on one another. We will not desire taking advantage of one another. If we can give each of us at least the necessities of food, clothes and shelter, then we can finally care for one another. Maybe care is the cure, because it lacks in our present social order that thrives on fear and guilt.
Look at our world, every barrier and battle here is based on memories of bitterness and painful realizations that come to our mind when we are around someone we have hurt or been hurt by. It has created wars and poverty.
And no, this new social order will not be perfect, because it is real and not ideal. You will not have to be a dreamer or intellect to function in this new social order.
Our present social society is failing because our system revolves around laws that try to set limits to evil. But what we need is the ability to create virtue. We all have certain self-interest that make us gravitate to one another for a service or product. We have the ability to give to each other and to receive a better distribution of property and possessions. The one thing holding us back is whether we have the intentions to do so.
Restoration of order is feasible.
In the next few generations most dominating Authoritarian forces will expire just based on the concept of death. We all age. And when that happens, the mustard seeds of the New Order of the Ages have the ability to sprout into something bigger and better than our minds could comprehend. However, I will not lie- those who spend their lives trying to maintain this present order will lose it. And those ready to lose their present way of life for the new order will save it.
In another article I will go into depth on detailed examples of the changing of the social order by present political government transitions happening throughout the world and how this could help open a path to this New Order of the Ages.
Lately Fromgirltogirl readers have been asking fabulous questions on how to enrichen their minds, bodies and souls! Yesterday I got a great question from a fierce woman of the name Christal Louison, a recent graduate of American University in Washington DC.
Her question was "How bad is blowing out my natural hair locks?"
My answer is not bad at all! With a low heat setting on the hair dryer, grape seed oil, a good comb, and some fabulous hair cream conditioning....your hair will be fierce and soft! I personally love rocking my afro! It is beautiful because it is so unique.
Check out this wonderful video tutorial on how to Blow-Out your hair: curlynikki.com !
When I went Natural with my hair.
For readers who do not know, I went natural about two years ago. Before then, I was a ritual relaxer chick. And yes, I loved the hair styles I got with relaxers but I was worried about the continous chemicals being used in my hair. My hair was becoming very dry and breaking off easily. I just could not keep up with the maintenance required for relaxed hair.
My hair using relaxers.
I was afraid of what I would look like with natural locks. I was afraid to cut my long hair off. Then a month after my 21st birthday, I decided to cut my hair off and rock out my natural curly hair!
No my hair does not define me as a woman, but it does reflect my moods, how I am taking care of myself, and sometimes it is a symbolic message. For me, I felt liberalized through breaking away from my fears of being defined by someone else's opinion of beauty.
Growing up I was defined as a black girl( I am Black. I am Filipina. I am cuban.), I never heard anyone say black and nappy was beautiful until my second year of college.
In fact recently, I have realized that mainstream America is now promoting colored women( not just black women, but women of color in general) as beautiful. It makes me feel this country is slightly improving in allowing people define who they are as opposed to forcing on a title for people. It is inspiring!
And I just loved seeing on my Facebook timeline that Alexis Devance, creator of Araminta Rose fashion designs, ( check out her blog and fashion designs ) said "Thinking of having a natural hair party, would you come ?"
It made me glow inside. We are beautiful. It is a movement. Cherish yourself and others will learn to cherish you as well!
And the growth continues...
Check out these great reads on taking care of your natural curly hair below!
p.s- We will be discussing great hair care for all ethnicities in the upcoming weeks! Let us be firece and fabulous together!
In the next year or so, my goal is to visit Cairo,Egypt. I am a beginner student of Arabic and have intent to eventually learn the Cairen dialect, which is Egyptian Arabic. I am excited and up for the challenge! Today I finished a school presentation about Egypt;'s Poverty epidemic. I hope to learn a great deal in the next few months about Arab culture and ideology. In a Contemporary Arab World class I attend in college, I had to write about my thoughts on what are Arabs without Islam.
My new scope for Fromgirltogirl is changing. I am no longer focusing simply on pop culture. I want to focus on food for thought. You will be seeing a variety of documentations and videos on Fromgirltogirl covering a variety of cultures. I am also opening up a Fromgirltogirl forum. If you want to be a special blogger of the week, please email us breelalavie@gmail.com .
Here are my thoughts on What are Arabs without Islam:
Arabs without Islam is like mankind without thought. I say this because Islam brings forth the thought of purpose and justifies why Arabs should conduct themselves in a community oriented fashion. It does not force you to be what you are not,but Islam gives the guide of God to man to find what you always had the ability to be.Gerald Butt discusses this when he indicates the Quran will guide men to the up-most right (Butt,4). This means it is a guide book to the up-most right path of conduct. It is a glance into the mind of Allah, the creator. In it comes wisdom that man can not comprehend or accept, unless going to the path of righteousness. That is the guide to God, whether of Islam or not, that is the goal for humanity. Even with the pilgrimage to Mecca it discusses a pilgrimage to God. It discusses how to be one with ones self and the community. Islam shows to all people that God loves all creations equally, although inequalities are great on earth. Mecca makes it where all are seen as equal in attire and there is no hierarchy. No judgment, just the straight path to harmony and peace. This no hierarchy principal explains why many Arab states have been in favor of Arab socialism ( Butt, 6). This also explains John Epositio's remark on family unity( Eposito 34) as the basis law because it is the same basis of Sharia, the road to the watering hole. Clear, right and straight path (Esposito 27).It is not that Arabs need Islam to function in society, there is " No single Arab country that has applied Islam correctly, even if they say they are"( Butt 8) but the fact is that they have the guide to reach Sharia through the principals of Islamic conduct. Islam is the word of Allah and if you connect the name of Allah to creation...then there would be no Arab without Islam. Arabs would be the unfinished product of incomplete manufactured canvas, which is needed make a product of creation.
Briana-Fierce version of Dora the Explorer Fierce! Water rafting!
By Briana Booker
Like adventures and wearing little backpacks made for children? Then, you should have celebrated Dora the Explorer Day last Saturday, August 14th! 30 states and cities celebrated the lovable Spanish and English speaking Nickelodeon character Dora, including me! She gives Latina chicks a good name!
I love Dora the explorer because she promotes inclusion and cooperation! Last weekend was her ten year anniversary for the promotion of exploration and education!
For my Dora the Explorer Day, I went water rafting and hiking in the woods with some friends and my brother! I had a blast and some comical relief. I also tried out coconut water.
Coconut water is good for you but it is a bit too sweet for my liking! However, it will keep you hydrated and helps eliminate aches and pains! Try it some time!
Laughing and working out are rumored to extend your potential to live a healthy and happy lifestyle! I highly recommend it! Make every day a Dora the explorer exploration day! It is worth the time and effort!
The United states government, today, announced new rules that allow, legally, for IPhone owners to run unauthorized third-party applications and use cell phones for use on multiple carriers! This means, if you are not a customer of At&t, you can still buy and use an Iphone for voice calls and EDGE data speeds on rival carriers such as T-Mobile !
The government approved a handful of new exemptions to a federal law that prevents the bypass of technical measure that prevent users from accessing and modifying copyrighted works. The reason for these exemptions is to allow, every three years, a monitoring of existing law to avoid prevention of non-infringing use of copyrighted material.
In addition, people have the right to break protections on video games to investigate or correct security flaws. This is beneficial for educators because it gives the privilege to break copy protection measures on DVDS for embed clips, criticism, commentary and noncommercial videos. Also it allows computer owners to override the need for external security devices if the hardware malfunctions and can not be replaced.
Plus, it gives back Apple users some democratic freedoms by having the ability to run software not approved by Apple and to allow the right of no censorship of media...including pornography, which Android allows.
King James...everybody knows his name, but will he get a ring next season? Nobody knows, but it would suck if he does not because he just crapped on Cleveland like whoa(or so they believe)!
Do not get me wrong, if something or someone is not offering what you want, it is best to move on to better. Maybe this is exactly what Lebron James needs for himself. Sometimes you have to do what people do not want you to do to enhance your happiness! You only get one life to live. I do not blame him.
If his fans love him so much they will not forget that sometimes you have to let go of someone or something you love, to allow it to grow to its fullest potential. And if the person or it comes back, then you know it matters ( or at least it/he/she wants something from you). Right now, Lebron wants a ring. He does not owe anyone, anything. Relax.
Now, I am hoping and praying that the ring he desires is not the same Ring from The Lord of the Rings because that shit is bad luck. But maybe he will be like the Indianapolis Colts, and be greater than where they started from before ( I love you Ravens)!
As of right now, only time will tell if this was a good or bad choice. Whether you love or hate Lebron for his decision, you still watched.
I ask you to see the soul behind the entertainer, not just the entertainer. Lebron is only human.
Also, this is not slavery (that's to the Calaviers' owner David Gilbert). Lebron has every right to choose where he wants to be. That's why free agents exist-to be free to choose. Basketball is both a career and hobby.
And to be honest, if you are a person making this seem like a life or death predicament...get over yourself! You should re-evaluate your priorities if this phases you that much.
Here are Lebron's remarks the morning after the announcement:
"And I look at it as -- it's a relationship. It was a relationship that I had with the organization, with that city," James said Friday morning in an interview on ABC's "Good Morning America" regarding Cleveland. "You know, you built a lot and you've done some things, you've done great things. You had the ups and downs. It's almost like a relationship you may have with a lady where you've been with that person for seven years and you've seen it all. You've grown together. You've been through the ups and downs. And one day you guys just don't see it the same way. You have to move on for the better. And that's how I feel. It hurts. It definitely hurts. It hurts me to say that I'm moving on. But I have to do what's best."~ Lebron James.
It happens. Let's move on and see what happens during basketball season.
This is for Lindsay Lohan. I know they have computers at jail! It is crucial for each person to know how to defend his or her booty.
The crocodile tears Lohan displays in court will not get her very far in jail! Good acting...Lohan stills has it!
Few hours later...Lohan tells her friends Judge Revel is a " Fucking Bitch," but she does not mean to disrespect the Judge. Proof. But on the side of Lohan, no one really gets more than 30 days for a probation violation such as her violation. The system may be wrong to do so...but oh well. What is fair is foul; what is foul is fair.
Let us know how you cope with challenges in your life! We will post them up on the blog if you email us at Fromgirltogirl@gmail.com .
p.s- If you live in Washington DC, Cleveland Park is having a free yoga introduction class! Maybe you can feel lighter in mind, body and soul, if you need to get your mind off of things! Information is on the homepage of Briana Fierce: The face behind the blog!
Hello Fromgirltogirl readers! Here is a daily enlightenment from our blog creator on egos and apologies! It is a must read! Check it out here at Briana_fierce: The face behind the blogging!
Today is the 4th of July, the Untied States of America's independence! It is a time to acknowledge freedom, however it is also a time to practice safety while having fun!
During this holiday many travel or spend time with family! And of course, when the weather is hot...we love to be near water! There is something calming about the presence of water! It can be relaxing and fun to be around! It can also be life threatening if we are not careful or informed enough!
A day ago I read a great article on twitter that Kimora Lee Simmons H, Designer and business Mongol, spread to her followers. The article was about knowing what drowning looks like!
I have heard horror stories about drowning, including one my mom experienced as a child, but I have never been present when someone was in fact drowning.
I have no clue what it looks like, but I know from this article it is nothing like the television makes it out to be! It is not dramatic. And It has no sound. It sounds like an eerie peace to death.
Please read the article below! Let me know your thoughts! Be care this holiday!

I love when underdogs bring a little spice to a bland atmosphere! It is awesome! Elena Kagan, at today's senate confirmation hearings recieved a chuckle from the usually stern and emotionless lawmakers!
Kagan is growing on me. It is something refreshing about her. I like her down to earth attitude. Keep it up Kagan!
It is official. Summer has officially started. Although summer is a time for fun, we must make note to maintain our wits and skills needed to succeed educationally, personally and career wise!
Research displays that a vast number of youth suffer learning-loss and acquire unhealthy eating habits( 1 out of 3 children in the United States of America are overweight) more often during summer breaks! In fact, children can lose more than two months in reading achievement during summer months!
So, how to help battle this issue?
The First Lady, Michelle Obama, strongly believes her new initiative called Let's Read. Let's move. will make it easier for Americans to build stronger minds and bodies by enhancing opportunities to read, exercise and eat healthier during the summer months! Not only will it be fun,but the students will achieve success in the later months when school is back in session!
I recommend children and adults read and collaborate community fitness this summer! I have always enjoyed reading during the summer and throughout the school year! In fact, I have most of the books I have read throughout my childhood to present stored in my parents basement! I hope to someday give them to my children and grandchildren to read!
Reading is a great adventure when you are captured in the story line! And it only takes five books to combat summer learning loss!
As for fitness, a nature walk is fabulous and an easy task to do! Just by walking a few minutes over a couple of months, each day, has really improved my fitness and physical attributes! You can also do other means of exercise... try Yoga, take up a dance class, or hula hoop! Do what is best for you and have fun!
Over the course of the summer I will be posting on Mama treats, a sub section of the blog, healthy, inexpensive, but tasty treats you can eat throughout the summer and beyond! I also will come up with a great reading list for all to enjoy!
Happy summer and do not forget to spread the movement! Cheers!
P.S- Anyone else watch Reading Rainbow as a kid? Loved that show!
As I grow older, I am learning everyday that I guide my own happiness as well as my own unhappiness. Never blame someone else for your own unhappiness. You should be in control of your own life.
No one can make or break you. You allow it to happen or not. Never let fear hold you back from your own happiness.
You ask how to guide your own life and happiness, right?
My best advice is to know yourself. Be honest with yourself. Love yourself. When you follow these guidelines, only then can you truly appreciate, love someone else and open doors for yourself in both your personal life and career wise!
It is easier said. It is harder to accomplish, but it does wonders once you start to uplift the barriers you set for yourself within your environment!
Enjoy life! Live.

I know this might not seem funny to people, but a Seattle cop punches a 17 year old teen girl! Why?
Well, she happen to be jay walking with a friend. She shoved him when being questioned about jay walking and he rounded up for a POW in your face sucka move!
I mean, I have jay walked before so it seems a bit extreme in my views for a cop to punch me in the face.
Looking at the video it appears to me the girl shoved the cop to get him off her friend. He probably should have reacted differently, especially because this punch in the face seems, on the surface,a white man punching a black woman. This plays on that theme of racial tensions in America. If it were a white woman being stopped for the same matter, would it have gotten to this point of aggravation?
No one is sure whether the two parties would have acted differently if they were of the same racial background.
Maybe something is in the water in Seattle because on April 17th two Seattle Officers kicked a Hispanic suspect.
What makes this video classic is that everyone has a video phone or camera out, as this action occurs.
My reaction is that the world has gone nuts! Point. Blank. Period. POW. Was this punch for public safety or just for some cash flow for the police department?
Click here for the video . Let me know your thoughts and reactions.
