It is funny how one relationship can consume your whole life, and not in a good way. I am talking about the unhealthy kind of relationship that once used to build you up, but now it only breaks you down. You have been used to it for so long, and you are in it so deep that you do not know anything else. You keep on making excuses for your significant other's behavior, when others-like your family and friends-point out that there is nothing significant or special about it at all. Then, you begin to notice that you are not the same person anymore, and when you wake up, you do not love what you see reflecting back at you. Your pictures are somewhat of a lie. Your relationship is not picture perfect. Its imperfections are shining through all over your face when you look at yourself. Then, you have the sweetest realization. You decide that you are better than this, you deserve better than this, and that you have been in this for way too long. He is not going to change. It is exactly what it is. Now, you think to yourself: "This time it's all about me. I'm taking ME back, and I won't ever look back."
