Twilight Eclipse review. Thumbs up or down?

By Briana Booker

After seeing Eclipse, the third installation of the Twilight saga, I had mixed opinions. Yes, Jacob is still sexy. Yes, Edward is still romantic. And yes, Bella is still an emotional teenager. So why mixed feelings about the movie?

Well, the movie is truly an eclipse. When i say eclipse, the translation is that there is a loss of splendor that was seen in the previous installations. I am not sure whether it was based  on not much rain and naked bodies being available or rather the actors were not living up to my expectations of the role-playing that this movie deserved.

I was looking for more action, more romance and more heart felt emotions.  I wanted it to be more emotionally realistic. I was disappointed.

However, I might be too harsh because I am often a fan of books being far better than film portrayals. But do not take my opinion of this movie very personal. Some people really loved and enjoyed the movie!

One of my dear friends, Mariana Morales from Venezuela thought the following:

" Eclipse was amazing! This movie was the best of the three so far... funny, romantic and sexy all at the same time. Jacob is extremely hot!"

Your best bet is to make your own judgement of the movie. It was not horrible but it was not a 5 stars dinner with a walk in the park kind of epic movie.

Let me know your thoughts!
